The weaknesses of our hearts are immense, causing destruction and chaos in our lives. We’re consumed by distractions, constantly glued to our phones and the media. This addiction worsens daily, and it’s no exaggeration to say that our youth are heavily influenced by what they see in the media and often tempted to emulate it.
Our souls are being corrupted, and the media’s distractions have replaced the Quran, Adkhar, and tarbiyyah (nurturing) of our children.
As Ramadan approaches, let’s prepare our hearts for this blessed month. Let’s gather resources that will benefit us during and after Ramadan. Make a sincere intention to maximize the opportunities Ramadan presents.
It’s time to eliminate distractions and immerse ourselves in the spirit of Ramadan. Block out distractions, increase your Quran recitation, and observe Qiyamul Layl (night prayers) regularly.
Humble yourself, acknowledge your sins, and seek forgiveness from Allah, the Owner of our souls.
Let’s start preparing now and prepare well. May Allah grant us a blessed and transformative Ramadan.
