IT’S A BIG STRUGGLE

If I could ask Allah for just one thing at this moment, I would ask Him for sound health. And I will not be shy to ask for more wealth alongside it. Yes, I want good health, and I want more money. But above all, I pray that Allah grants me the wisdom to use my health well and spend my wealth solely in His cause.

The number of genuine requests for assistance I sometimes receive weighs heavily on my heart. There have been days when I received as many as ten requests from ten different people, all in one day, while I was struggling to make an urgent payment for my own children. The interesting thing is that none of those people knew that I, too, needed financial assistance at that particular moment.

Even more overwhelming was the constant ringing of my phone, with calls and messages coming in from almost everyone seeking help. At some point, it nearly broke me. It affects my mood, drains my energy, and leaves me emotionally exhausted.

You have family members who need your help, and then you have other members of the community looking up to you for assistance. Sometimes, you are caught between several genuine needs, all requiring attention at the same time.

It can be extremely tiring when some people fail to understand that you simply cannot help everyone. I have encountered people who repeatedly misuse the opportunities given to them. I have also encountered those who approach assistance with a sense of entitlement. And then some people are in desperate need, people whose situations genuinely break your heart. The truth is that sometimes, I, too, have needs that I am struggling to meet.

I have since come to understand that you cannot help everyone, no matter how much you want to.
I am someone who finds it extremely difficult to see people who are genuinely struggling and simply look away. My heart wants to help, even when my resources cannot meet the demands before me. But I am also learning that having a heart for charity does not mean having unlimited capacity to give.

So, if you have ever approached MajmolQueen Charitable Foundation with a genuine request for assistance and received no support, please understand that it is not necessarily because your situation was ignored or deliberately overlooked. Sometimes, we are simply overwhelmed, financially limited, and unable to attend to every request.

Please understand that behind every charitable effort are people who also have responsibilities, personal needs, families, and limitations.
We want to help. We wish we could do more. But we cannot do everything.

May Allah ease the affairs of everyone who is struggling, provide for those who are in need, strengthen those who are trying to help others, and never make us a burden upon one another. Ameen.
