The one who strengthens the ties of kinship is loved by Allah, and anyone who severs them may face Allah’s wrath. In fact, severing kinship ties can lead to losing paradise, as mentioned in the hadith. I am deeply grateful to my family, the Ashimites, for their unwavering support and presence. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my uncle and all my nephews and nieces who showed up from far and wide. Thank you, and I will always cherish our bond.
I would like to make a separate post about the first person Allah allowed me to meet during this visit, and l am super grateful to Allah. I asked and He answered.
Shaykhanaa Ibn Sulaiman Najmuddien, may Allah prolong his life in goodness. He kindly arranged for fresh, rich cookies and chocolate bread to be made for us and even paid for the delivery himself. Jazakhumllahu Khayran, sir.
I also want to express my gratitude to the wonderful sisters – the wives of our amiable Imam Sanni Kay Yusuf, Umm Rashidah Waheed Sanni, and our dear sister Omoniyi Olaitan Khadijah.
The welcome they extended was truly unique and professional. Umm Rayyan’s warm hospitality and the delicious food prepared by the second queen, with Iru added to the jute leaves (ewedu), left a lasting impression on me. I fell in love with their warmth and kindness.
May Allah bless our Imam and all the brothers he introduced us to, who were incredibly welcoming. I was also delighted to see my brother AbdulMajeed from Beneficial Islamic Books, his wife, and their new baby. I appreciate the thoughtful gifts they gave us. May Allah reward them abundantly.
Lastly, I am super grateful to Ustadh Rasheed Haashim for his words of encouragement and advice. I was impressed by the students’ recitation skills at Muflihun High School – they were truly top-notch. Thank you for the gifts and for having us. I sincerely appreciate your kindness.
